Is inkjet printer is line printer?

No inkjet printer is not a line printer.Because,

Line printer is a high-speed impact printer that prints a single line at a time from a computer.It is fast and prints 300 to 3000 lines per minute.There are two types of line printers,

• Drum printers
• Chain printers

Drum printers prints character by activating hammer.All characters are not printed at the same time but it prints at high speed.It prints various types of fonts and color images. chain printers prints a line at a time.It prints 400 to 3000 lines per minute.

Whereas an Inkjet printer prints characters, image and it produces hardcopy by spraying ink onto the paper and produces a resolution of 300 dots per inch.
