- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool on your Windows operating system. Follow the on-screen prompts to install it on the system.
- Once installed, it solves the issue automatically. Examine whether the installed printer’s name is set as default printer. If not, set it to the default one. Reset the printer by switching off it.
- Unplug the power cable from the printer’s rear and from the electrical socket. Wait a second and then connect the cable back to the printer. Now, the printer turns on automatically.
- For a wired connection, examine whether the printer is connected to the appropriate port.
- For a wireless connection, examine whether the wireless icon on the control panel of the printer is stable.
Look for the print queue window under See What’s printing screen. In case there is a checkmark beside Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline, then unmark it and then try to print a document.
