When the printer is turned on for the first time, the device prompts the user to choose the preferences like Country, Region, Language, Time, and Date of the user. The preferences can be set as per the user’s wish.
One can adjust the preferences by using the touch display and navigating through the settings. Even though the printer has some buttons on it, the commands can be directly given on the touch display. Next step involved is loading paper into the main input tray. The input tray of the HP Officejet Pro 8710 is built on the front side at the bottom of the printer. The tray should be pulled outwards to load the papers. The paper guides can be extended so that the papers can be loaded easily.
It is advised that the input tray should not be overloaded under any circumstances. While loading the papers, remember to load the papers of appropriate size and quality. The plain U.S. letter or A4 papers are most widely used. The input tray can be pushed into the tray after loading the papers. Then, we should move to an important step involved, which is, the installation of ink cartridges.
